Windsor police have arrested an accused drug trafficker for allegedly violating his bail conditions.
The 26-year-old was charged last December following a months-long investigation dubbed Project Kraken.
Officers with the drugs and guns unit seized two kilograms of cocaine, 365 grams of fentanyl, three cell phones, drug packaging materials, and $950 in cash during a search of the individual’s vehicle.

The man was later released on bail with strict regulations, including house arrest and electronic monitoring.
Windsor police compliance officers launched an investigation and on Feb. 19 those officers, with the assistance from the OPP-led repeat offender and parole enforcement (ROPE) squad, located and arrested the man in the 1500 block of South Cameron Boulevard.
He has been charged additionally now with failure to comply with his release order.
The bail compliance officers are part of the offender management unit, a partnership between Windsor Police Service and LaSalle Police Service to supervise high-risk individuals placed under house arrest, curfew, or electronic monitoring.
The unit is supported through a grant from the Government of Ontario, as part of the provincial government’s strategy to strengthen Ontario’s bail system.
