Former welterweight world champion Thurman and Jarvis will step in the ring in Sydney on Wednesday night — but they wasted no time in trying to land some verbal blows two days out.
Jarvis came out with some fighting words from the get-go, with the Australian saying that Thurman is an “old man” who “isn’t the same as what he used to be”.

But the press conference swiftly descended into a slanging match with Thurman calling his opponent a “muscle bound b**ch boy”, declaring that he will “whoop his ass”.
Jarvis, however, vowed: “I’m gonna punch a hole in your head … I’m gonna hit you, and I’m gonna hurt you.”
Thurman was unfazed.
“I’m shaking, I’m so f**king scared,” he said sarcastically.
