Armor Spheres become one of the most important items in Monster Hunter Wilds as you approach the late game.
No matter how good your armors are, they will require constant upgrades; for that, you’ll need something called Armor Spheres. This guide will help you consistently farm the item to increase your armor strength and stats.
Best ways to farm Armor Spheres in Monster Hunter Wilds
There are two major ways of finding this valuable item.
- Smelt monster materials at Forge
- Complete optional quests
Completing optional quests should be your priority once you finish the main story and reach High Rank. Doing those quests will provide you with Armor Spheres and monster drops once a monster has been eliminated.

The amount of spheres you can get from monster material will depend on the quality of the used items. A simple trick is to always hunt for monsters who are hard to put down. While it might make sense to defeat different monsters, an efficient way is to go for a single type and do so repeatedly.
When you focus on one/two types of monsters, you’ll get to know all about their moves. You can also use items that suit well with the monsters’ elemental weaknesses, making it easier to take them down.
The Forge unlocks in Chapter 2, and you can find the Smelting Foundry in the base camp of Oilwell Basin. Open the Foundry options, and choose Smelt Armor Spheres, followed by the type of sphere you want to craft. To complete the process, you’ll need monster material points, and you can find them by checking out the inventory.
Choose the materials you want to convert into Armor Spheres, and they will be ready. You can craft four types of Armor Spheres in Monster Hunter Wilds.
- Armor Sphere
- Armor Sphere+
- Advanced Armor Sphere
- Hard Armor Sphere
Smelting, by far, is the best way to get Armor Spheres, as obtaining monster parts is part of the routine. You can also trade the spheres from Gawdygog, which can be found in the Wudwud hideout in the Forest region.
