EastEnders latest batch of spoilers have revealed that a pair of former lovers will reveal their true feelings for one another and a character will return after over 20 years away.
With Martin Fowler’s funeral fast approaching, its set to be another dramatic week on the BBC soap that no one will forget.
On Monday (March 31), Sharon is delighted by a Mother’s Day gesture from her brother Zack and her son Albie, but her happiness is short-lived when Nigel arrives and reveals Phil is missing.
Thankfully, the situation is quickly handled with Phil returning home. Sadly for Nigel, Phil wasn’t missing and he was just suffering another mix-up amid his dementia battle, but his friend kindly covered for him.
Touched by Sharon’s reaction to him potentially being missing, Phil finally reveals his feelings for Sharon once alone at No.55 after months of pining for her.
Later in the episode Vickie Fowler returns in a black cab, last seen leaving Walford to move to Australia with her her long-time partner Spencer Moon in 2004. The sister of Sharon is now played by Alice Hai, who is stepping into the shoes previously filled by Scarlett Alice Johnson.
Meanwhile, Lauren is fed up with Peter on the day of their baby scan, with Peter distracted over his missing mum Cindy to the point he misses the scan.
Following their upsetting trip to the police station, Avani and Lily meet to smoke weed as they attempt to distract themselves. While Bianca and Sonia head to Beales Eels for lunch where Bianca meets Charlotte. The pair soon bond and head to Harry’s Barn for a drink, but it’s clear Charlotte has a hidden agenda with Bianca.
Tuesday (April 1), will see Vicki, who is joined by her new partner Ross and his son Joel, adjusting to life back in East London ahead of Martin’s funeral, revealing that she and Spencer separated.
Stunned by Alfie’s brother not being with Vicki, Kat questions Vicki on her versions of events, and it’s not long before the true reason behind the breakup is revealed.
Peter is encouraged by Kathy and Ian to make amends with Lauren after his blunder. Proposing to his girlfriend, Lauren bluntly rejects him.
At Harry’s Barn, Charlotte’s true intentions soon come to light when Bianca discovers she is actually a journalist. Bianca declines an offer of an interview regarding Reiss, but her interest is piqued.
On Wednesday (April 2), Ross urges Vicki to ask Sharon for money, but after a chat with Kathy about Sharon’s recent heartaches, Vicki rethinks and turns her interest to Ian, later lying to him about her debt as she asks for a loan.
Over at the Boxing Den, Sharon quizzes Vicki after being informed by Ian, but she quickly dismisses her concerns. The episode will also see Sonia telling Bianca not to speak about to Charlotte.
Sonia’s attention is later turned by the arrival of her and Martin’s daughter Bex,who asks her to accompany her at the undertakers to say goodbye to Martin.
Thursday (April 3), will see tension’s rise on the day before Martin’s funeral, as Ruby questions Jean in the café about Stacey’s whereabouts before heading to the undertakers to say an emotional goodbye to Martin.
After initially saying no to Bex, Sonia agrees to go to the undertakers with her and Kathy. Kathy and Bex share in their grief as they offer up their personal tributes to Martin, but an emotional Sonia can’t bring herself to speak.
Once alone, a devastated Sonia breaks down as she says her final goodbye to her ex-husband in scenes that will break hearts.
