Alison Hammond has revealed why she declined the opportunity to enter the Big Brother house once again, 23 years after she starred in the civilian version.
Speaking to Magic Radio on Friday about the option to return after being offered a spot on Celebrity Big Brother, she said: ‘I’m just so grateful to Big Brother.’

‘I just got asked and said no,’ she replied. ‘Yeah, they asked me and I said, “no, I wouldn’t do it again”. I just think, I’ve done it haven’t I?’
Alison, then 27, appeared on the third series of Big Brother back in 2002 providing her with a career breakthrough after the show experienced huge popularity.

Alison, who had been reprimanded just days into the show for discussing nominations with Kate, was the third to be evicted after 15 days.
Nineties pop icon Chesney Hawkes has reportedly signed up for the next series of Celebrity Big Brother.
The singer, 53, will join the ITV1 reality show on April 7, ahead of the launch of his chart comeback.
A TV source told The Sun: ‘Chesney Hawkes is one of those rare British celebrities who crosses generational divides.
‘Everyone knows The One and Only even if the youngsters might not recognise his name.
‘He’s also had decades in showbiz so CBB bosses hope he’ll be loose-lipped about celebrity encounters over the years, just like Louis Walsh last year.’
The father-of-three spent five weeks at number one on the UK singles charts in 1991 with his hit single The One and Only.
Although he struggled to replicate that success, he has remained in the limelight, notably with his connections to the England men’s football team.

Cat said: ‘Dermot and Josie are going to be here on the show tomorrow, they’ll see you at 10am tomorrow morning.’
While Ben followed with, ‘See you next week, bye bye.’
Alison and Dermot are immensely popular as a TV duo and she has interviewed the likes of Michael Bublé, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Lady Gaga and Hugh Jackman.
They were made presenters back in 2021, replacing Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
She famously conducted a fake wedding with The Rock on the show back in 2017 during a hilarious interview, with him referring to her as his wife five years on.
The star is loved for her ability to warm up anyone, including infamously cool interviewee Harrison Ford, who was left in stitches after meeting her.
