The former glamour model five children in total from three previous relationships
Katie Price has revealed the reason why she’s not spending Mother’s Day with her kids as she told her fans they ‘do all they need to do’.
The former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here contestant and glamour model has five children in total from three previous relationships.
Katie gave birth to her first child Harvey, whose father is Manchester United legend Dwight York, in May 2002. The 22-year-old has a a rare genetic condition known as Prader-Willi syndrome.
After meeting singer Peter Andre on I’m A Celeb in 2004, the former married couple went on to have son Junior and daughter Princes, who are 19 and 17 respectively.
The 46-year-old’s third marriage to Kieran Hayler saw her welcome her third son, Jett, in 2013, and second daughter, Bunny, the following year.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday (March 20), Katie revealed that she was spending Mother’s Day away from home as she’s starring in an adaption of Pinnochio in Northwich.
She informed her 2.7 million followers: “Happy Mother’s Day everybody! Enjoy your day. And all you kids, look after your mum today! Spoil her rotten.
“Talking of which, I’m not with my kids today because it’s my first show at panto. But they’ve given me cards and all they need to do and I love it. That means a lot.”
Katie also made sure to pay tribute to her ill mum Amy, who underwent a lung transplant in November 2022 after being diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in 2017.
“Happy Mother’s Day to my mum who is my absolute world, a true example of a strong women. I love her soooo much,” she said.
Appearing on the Netmums Podcast last year, Katie told presenters Wendy Golledge and Alison Perry that she ‘still wants more’ children.
“I’m at that stage and I do want more kids. I want more. And I don’t want to be told by a doctor or something that I can’t have more. I know I’m not done. If I could have two more kids I would,” she admitted.
Katie continued: “I’m at that stage and I do want more kids. I didn’t realise until I did the IVF that when you’re born, you’re born with a set of eggs, and every period you have, you know, you get rid of eggs. So mine are quite old now.”
During the candid interview, Katie reflected on bringing up her youngest child Harvey as a ‘single parent’.
She recalled: “And in a way, for me that’s been the easiest. I always say to women, sometimes it’s easier to bring them up on your own, especially if you do break-ups and you’re not sure about if you want to have a continual relationship with the guy.
“I’ve had no aggro with Harvey because no dad’s been present – the other guys aggro. So for me, being a single parent for Harvey has been a dream”.
