MURIEL WILKINS: As you go through your career, a lot changes. You get new titles, you join different organizations, you take on more responsibilities. But one thing is constant: there will always be challenges. That’s where I come in.
SPEAKER 1: I’ve only been here for a short time compared to those around me. I’m trying to figure out how I can be seen more as a leader for the work that I’m putting in and showing up to do.
SPEAKER 2: I’m a little exhausted. I felt like I was firing all cylinders and I had these great superpowers and getting great recognition. And I don’t feel like I have those superpowers anymore. I’m wondering if…This is a horrible thing to say, but am I past my peak?
SPEAKER 3: I come across as very youthful a lot of times, and that can be mistaken for just being real informal sometimes, and that I do know about myself. And then I fight it sometimes because I know that executive presence is really… For me, the way I’ve interpreted is it’s a reflection of who you are in front of people.
SPEAKER 4: I became aware of a need to change and I realized I was like, wait, I’m doing everything for everyone. Me leading this company more looks like me cleaning up everyone’s stuff.
MURIEL WILKINS: I’m leadership coach Muriel Wilkins, and my show Coaching Real Leaders is back with a whole new season of coaching conversations with all different types of leaders facing all different types of hurdles.
