I frequently read and enjoy the letters to the editor sent into the Sun, so I decided to send in my own spin on the state of Canadian democracy.
I hear most readers laughing at my subject line. I will start by saying that I’m not going to waste valuable letters on Justin Trudeau. He is not a leader. Enough said!
I’m not really sure where Jagmeet Singh went to political school, but there is no way he passed.
Politics 101: You jump on your opponents when they are down. You stomp on them! It’s a nasty world, politics, but that’s how it works.
Jagmeet: By supporting the Liberals, you have completely destroyed the NDP. So thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Here, then, is my point: If Jagmeet Singh had taken advantage of the troubled Trudeau reign, then he would be sitting in a position to be the Official Opposition. By taking the path he did — the NDP will likely land with about four to eight per cent of the vote, while the Liberals could land around 18 to 22 per cent of the vote — there will be no more partnerships between Liberals and NDP.

Thanks, Jagmeet! Keep up the great work!

JUST RETURN TO CFL, NATHAN
I’m not sure whether to feel sorry for Nathan Rourke or to laugh and shake my head over his massive ego, thinking he can play in the NFL.
In his brief time in the CFL, he passed for more than 4,000 yards and was a star, named the Most Outstanding Canadian in 2022. The bonus was playing in British Columbia, his home province, which any Canadian QB would lap up. Reference Russ Jackson as the ultimate Canadian QB. So now Nathan, after leaving the CFL behind, has bounced around on practice squads in the NFL for the past couple of years.
Nathan, give your ego a rest, and come back and play in the CFL, where you can be an exciting player to watch.
Russ Jackson knew where his game belonged. He knew that the CFL would make him the QB he became.
