Buffalo Bills All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano will miss significant time after suffering a torn bicep injury at practice, head coach Sean McDermott confirmed to reporters on Thursday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Milano will undergo surgery in hopes of returning to the team in time for the playoffs.
The injury occurred in practice on Tuesday after the linebacker landed awkwardly on his left arm during positional drills and did not return.
Milano, 30, has dealt with a dearth of injury concerns of late. Despite a healthy start to his career, he suffered a tibia fracture in Week 5 of the 2023 season and missed the rest of the year.
He had a strong 2022 campaign, earning his only All-Pro and Pro-Bowl nods after tallying 99 tackles and three interceptions as the Bills cruised to a 13-3 record and first place in the AFC East.
Rookie linebacker Dorian Williams, the team’s third-round pick from the 2024 Draft, is expected to line up as the left-side linebacker in Milano’s place.
