India has topped the charts as the nation with the highest number of sexually satisfied residents, according to a survey of people in 36 countries.
The survey of almost 30,000 people found the home of the Kama Sutra was the nation where people are happiest with their sexcapades.
About 76 per cent of Indian lovers who responded to survey reported being physically satisfied in their sexual relationship, with 73 per cent also reporting they were emotionally satisfied.
This compares to only 56 per cent of people in the UK who were physically satisfied with the sex they are having, according to The Sun.
The figure puts Britain at the global average when it comes to physically satisfying sex, which sadly means half of us are being left wanting in the bedroom.

But in a sign things are improving, Britain’s latest figure from Durex’s 2024 Global Sex Survey is a up a third compared to 2006.
However, British lovers didn’t fare so well when it came to emotional satisfaction during sex, at just 51 per cent well below the global average of 57 per cent.
Joining India in the top ranks of the world’s most physically satisfied lovers were The Philippines, Mexico, Columbia and South Africa which each recorded scores of about 70 per cent.
Globally levels of physical and emotional sexual satisfaction are up 12 and 21 per cent since the survey began.
Ben Wilson, intimate wellness global category director at Reckitt, the company that owns the Durex brand, said: ‘It’s encouraging to see that so many people are enjoying a satisfying, fulfilling sex life in many of the countries who took part in this year’s survey.
‘We know that intimate wellness can be a significant contributor to overall health, and we’re committed to ensuring everyone has a sex life they feel positive about.’
The survey also explored how much sex contributes to people’s overall wellbeing.
It found that 51 per cent of sexually satisfied individuals feel healthier and more confident, while 65 per cent reported feeling happier.
Sex, and intimacy more generally, has been linked to a string of health benefits, including improving the condition of your heart, reducing stress and boosting mental health.
