Speaking to India Today, Kaushik addressed this controversy, stating that the bond among the cast remains intact despite the noise. He noted that fan-driven disputes over credit are a regular part of the social media landscape.
“When a film does well, people around [the stars] feed such things in the minds of everyone, including the cast, that they should get credit for the movie. Hence, I just went for a vacation to stay away from the noise because it is usually when you hit a certain mark is when it becomes easier to get trapped in such social media games,” Kaushik explained.
However, he made it clear that these discussions haven’t caused any rifts within the team. In fact, the cast even recorded a light-hearted video poking fun at the situation ‘who gets the credit for the film’, with Kaushik himself stepping in at the end to claim, “It’s my film.”

The director stressed that the film’s success is the result of teamwork, with every contributor playing a pivotal role. While the faces of the film might be those 5-6 people may be the most visible, Kaushik pointed out that the efforts of the entire crew, from the VFX artists to the voice actors, were crucial.
“If the VFX person did not do decent VFX, the audience wouldn’t have liked the film. Similarly, if the sound person who gave voice to Sarkata did not shriek the way he did, it wouldn’t have had the same impact. Everyone behind and in front of the film is responsible for the success. Now, the degree of love everyone gets can be different,” he added.
