If you’re an Old School RuneScape fan who can remember their very first time playing, prepare to feel even older. Old School RuneBreaks follows the new trend of combining jungle & drum ‘n bass with “retro” games, as RuneScape gets a new remixed soundtrack set to release on vinyl.
Old School RuneBreaks comes courtesy of London-based music producer Pizza Hotline, who has remixed the entire original soundtrack of the game. You can listen to it on all major music streaming platforms, as well as purchase it on vinyl from either printer Laced Records or directly from the RuneScape merch store itself.
This latest release shows off just how massively RuneScape has changed over the years, becoming a source of both nostalgia and succeeding in relaunching with the newer RuneScape version. You can find both versions of RuneScape on mobile, letting you go with whatever style of game you prefer.

As for our opinion? Well, I’m no music critic, but I think it sounds pretty decent. Especially if you’re into older-school drum ‘n bass. And while I won’t be running out to grab a copy on vinyl, I’d be remiss not to say you should give it a listen. I found it pretty good background music while writing this article, even if I’m not a RuneScape player myself.
