Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are one loved-up — and stylish — couple.
The pair made a red carpet appearance at the premiere of Bloom’s movie The Cut during the Toronto Film Festival on Thursday, Sept. 5.
Continuing her risky style streak, the “Woman’s World” singer, 39, outdid herself in yet another statement-making look. She wore a satin black bandeau top with a fitted satin black skirt. However, both pieces were slightly covered by a sequined piece of fabric that draped across one shoulder and created the illusion of an off-the-shoulder floor-length dress.
Perry’s edgy look didn’t stop there. She wore her jet-black hair in a high bun with micro-bangs, which accentuated her dramatic smokey winged eyeshadow look and matte brown lipstick. The “Dark Horse” singer kept the accessories to a minimum with just a pair of geometric silver dangle drop earrings.
Bloom, 47, let his lady shine by coordinating in a modern black tuxedo with a mock turtleneck shirt.
Perry and Bloom’s date night in Toronto comes one day after the former American Idol judge revealed new details of her and the actor’s split in 2017.
“We weren’t, like, really in it from day one,” admitted Perry of her and Bloom’s meeting at the 2016 Golden Globes while on a Sept. 4 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast.

“I mean, he was in a way, because he had just done a huge time of celibacy, and he had set intentions,” she detailed of the Pirates of the Caribbean actor. “I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was just like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I need to go swim in a different pond,’ but I had yet to do a lot of real work.”
Perry recalled both of them doing inner work and healing on a retreat at the Hoffman Institute before reconciling. Now, the two are engaged and share daughter Daisy Dove, whom they welcomed in 2020.
“We all have our strengths and then our opportunities for growth. But one of his strengths [is] when I crumble, he can step in and be that anchor. That’s amazing,” Perry said.
During The Cut premiere, Bloom reaffirms Perry’s earlier claims and exclusively tells PEOPLE that his love language is “acts of service” and “showing up.”
The Cut stars Bloom as a boxer determined to win a championship title after coming out of retirement. It was directed by Sean Ellis and costars Caitríona Balfe and John Turtutto.
