Kathmandu, September 8 — The Nepal Insurers Association has filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court, seeking payment for Covid-19 insurance claims.
The petition, filed by General Secretary Ashok Kumar Khadka on behalf of the Insurers Association, names the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers as the defendant.
The petition requests that payments be made to individuals who were insured during the Corona pandemic.
The writ, submitted on Sunday, is scheduled for a hearing on Monday. Insurance companies still owe approximately 11 billion rupees for Corona insurance claims.
