Cooking Fever is one of those games that lives up to its title, by offering the excitement and adrenaline of running a fast-paced culinary empire. And to celebrate ten years of gastronomy, developers Nordcurrent organised a world record-breaking cooking competition in their home country of Lithuania!
Taking place in Vilnius, the event invited professional chefs to compete in an attempt to break the record for most burgers assembled in under a minute. As we covered back during the initial announcement, the previous record was held by two individuals (George Butler of the UK and Iris Cazarez from the US) who were tied for the record of eight burgers assembled.
However, at the Nordcurrent-organised event, replete with Cooking Fever theming, local chef Paulius Staliorius of Drama Burgers Restaurant smashed the previous record and assembled a whopping (whopper?) 11 burgers in under a minute. Aside from the world record attempt, the event also helped fans celebrate the Cooking Fever anniversary!

While it’s hard to see the direct connection between these chefs and Cooking Fever, it is worth noting that Guinness World Record attempts aren’t free and that Nordcurrent’s organising of the event probably helped Paulius claim the title. So if you’re a Cooking Fever fan you can rest secure in the knowledge that your playing has indirectly helped somebody champion their gastronomic skills on the world stage!
