Kelly Insurance Brokers has made a generous $150,000 donation to support the expansion of childcare facilities in Kindersley, addressing a critical need in the community. The existing daycare, located at Westbury School, currently has 25 spaces but faces overwhelming demand, with a waiting list of over 120 children. Thanks to this donation, the facility will expand to offer 90 daycare spaces, along with 30 before- and after-school spaces, easing the burden on local families and businesses.
In recognition of the donation, Kelly Insurance Brokers has been granted naming rights for one of the rooms in the new facility.

Monique Neigum, Treasurer of Kinder College, emphasized the importance of the expansion. “We simply can’t meet the needs of our community right now,” she said. “This new daycare will help us fill the gap for local families and employers, allowing parents to return to work without the stress of finding childcare.”
Neigum praised Kelly Insurance Brokers’ owner, Nikki Meschishnick, for her long-standing support. “Nikki has been with us from day one, sponsoring all of our events. It was no surprise when she became the first local business to commit to a multi-year donation.”
Meschishnick, who has personally felt the impact of the childcare shortage, explained her motivation. “I’ve been hearing about the daycare shortage at the Chamber of Commerce level, and I’ve felt it in my own officeālosing two employees in one year due to a lack of childcare. I knew I had to do something,” she said. “I’m just so glad this is happening. Monique, Jody, and their team have worked incredibly hard to make this a reality, and I’m proud to support them. Without people like them in our community, progress wouldn’t be possible.”
The expansion, made possible in part by Kelly Insurance Brokers’ donation, will provide much-needed relief for Kindersley families and employers.
