- El Paso, Elsewhere is a new run ‘n gun shooter out now
- It takes you into the depths of a mysterious Texas motel
- Blast your way through hordes of vampires and slay their leader
Ever had a really bad hotel stay? We’ve all had them, whether it’s being in the room next to a busy road, dirty sheets or your room being possibly haunted. But what about staying at a hotel that mysteriously gains 46 new underground floors and becomes infested by vampires? No? Well, El Paso, Elsewhere will help you live out this dubious fantasy.
This run ‘n gun shooter, in the fine tradition of Max Payne-style games, will see you blast your way through hordes of vampires as you seek to eliminate the villain Draculae. With all the slo-mo and dual-wielding you can stomach, this is the Matrix by way of From Dusk Till Dawn.
And it’s out now on mobile! Well, iOS at least, and with the ability to try before you buy to boot! Yes, you can have a go at El Paso, Elsewhere and see if it’s for you, before making a one-time purchase to play the full game with no ads.
Now I don’t want to hear anything about “I don’t believe in vampires-“
El Paso, Elsewhere is one of those games in the fine tradition of recent indies that has somewhat slipped under the radar. But for those it resonated with, it seems to have really struck a chord. And with all this action in the palm of your hand, it’s not hard to see why this game might be a big hit.
But if you’re not fussed, or just not on iOS, don’t fret because we’ve got a whole host of other great games on offer! Why not check out our list of the best mobile games of 2024 (so far) for more info?
