MDH Spices has denied allegations that its merchandise have traces of cancer-causing agent ethylene oxide (ETO), calling them “unfaithful” and “missing any substantiating proof.”

This assertion got here days after the Centre for Meals Security (CFS) in Hong Kong flagged the presence of ETO in samples of pre-packaged spice combine merchandise of MDH and Everest Spices.
ETO is a chemical used to protect spices for longer intervals and can also be utilized in pesticides. Its consumption past permissible limits may be carcinogenic.
