The 78-year-old singer revealed the book tour for Cher: The Memoir, Part One, her upcoming memoir, on Wednesday.
The book will be released on November 19.
A teaser for Cher‘s two-part memoir teased that the first part would follow “her extraordinary beginnings through childhood to meeting and marrying Sonny Bono – and reveals the highly complicated relationship that made them world-famous, but eventually drove them apart.”
A synopsis of the book states that it will highlight the singer-songwriter’s “trademark honesty and humour” and explain “how this diamond in the rough succeeded with no plan and little confidence to become the trailblazing superstar the world has been unable to ignore for more than half a century”.
While discussing the book-writing process, the singer shared on the show: “I just totally chickened out. I didn’t put in some things that needed to be put in. And they’re not comfortable, but they need to be put in so I have to go back and man up.
“I’ve lived too long and done too much and so it’s like it should be the encyclopedia.”
The second part of the book is coming out in 2025.
