The 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited was held on September 30, 2024, at a hotel in the capital.
The chief patron of the company, President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, former elected president of FBCCI, Vice Chairman of Bengal Group of Industries, and Chairman of Bengal Commercial Bank, Mr Md Jashim Uddin, was present in the meeting as the chief guest.
The Chairman of Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited, Mr Mostafa Azad Chowdhury, Director and Chairman of the Risk Management Committee, Mr Monir Hossain, Director and Chairman of the NRC Committee, Mr Chaitanya Kumar Dey Chayan, Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, Mr Snehashish Barua, FCA, Director Mr Md Amin Helali, Director Mr Md Khalilur Rahman Masum, Director Mr Kazi Samirul Hoque, shareholde Mr Md Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, Mr Siddiquar Rahman, Mr Abu Saleh Abdul Mueez, Ms Jesmin Akhter, Mr Sheazeen Sadmin Hoque, and the Managing Director and CEO of the company, Mr MM Monirul Alam, were also present at the AGM.
At the beginning of the meeting, special prayers were offered for the departed souls of Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited’s late founder chairman, Abdul Ahad, founder director and former chairman of the EC Committee, rotarian engineer Mohammad Mohabbat Ullah, and director Kazi Enamul Hoque.
During the meeting, the Annual Audited Financial statement for the fiscal year 2023 was approved, and Mr Mostafa Azad Chowdhury was re-elected as the Chairman of Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited, while Director Mr Md Amin Helali was elected as the vice chairman of the company.
