A 40-year-old woman is facing numerous criminal charges after colliding with a parked LaSalle police cruiser.
Officers were investigating a car accident Tuesday around 9 p.m. on Matchett Road.
A police cruiser with activated emergency lights was positioned to block the road for safety while the investigation took place.
Police said a vehicle travelling southbound allegedly failed to slow down and collided with the cruiser and a traffic cone.

The driver left the scene without stopping.
Police said officers who were investigating the initial collision were forced to “jump to safety to avoid being hit.”
Officers then followed the vehicle, successfully boxing it in to bring it to a stop.
Police said the driver exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.
The woman has been charged with impaired driving, having a blood alcohol level above 80 mgs, dangerous driving and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
Her licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Police said there were no injuries to the officers or the driver.
