Mike Tyson recalled a viral clip between himself and internet sensation Hasbulla Magomedov from March 2023 and admitted his fault for the hilarious mix-up.
During an appearance on his Hotboxin podcast, Tyson let the 22-year-old throw punches at him as he showcased his trademark bobbing motion. However, things took a weird turn when the legendary boxer grabbed the social media star and began playfully nibbling on his ear – making the Dagestani uncomfortable.
Over a year later, Tyson admitted he mistook Hasbulla as a child, not realizing he had a form of dwarfism that stunted his growth at 3-foot-3.
‘I thought it was a baby,’ Tyson told Andre Ward on The Art Of Ward podcast.
‘I didn’t know. He was punching me. I don’t know, man. That’s how I am with children. I was hugging on this guy. He’s like 26 years old,’ he added. ‘No, no. I did not know.’

Tyson will be fighting YouTube start-turned-boxer Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas on Nov. 15 for Netflix’s first live boxing event. The fight will consist of eight two-minute rounds and is Tyson’s first professional bout since losing to Kevin McBride in 2005.
Iron Mike, however, fought in an exhibition against fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020. On the same card, Paul scored a knockout over a much smaller opponent former NBA star Nate Robinson.
Tyson’s fight against Paul, 30 years his junior, was originally scheduled for July 20. However, an ulcer flare-up in May forced Tyson to pause his training as both sides agreed to push the fight date back.
Paul holds a 10-1 record with wins over retired MMA stars such as Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren, Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Mike Perry.

His only loss came in a decision against Tommy Fury in February 2023. Paul also signed an MMA contract with the PFL (Professional Fighters League) but is yet to set foot in the cage.
Tyson holds a professional boxing record of 50-6-2 (W-L-NC) with 44 knockout wins. The New York native was the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA, and IBF heavyweight titles.
Hasbulla skyrocketed into stardom in 2021 and has remained relevant since. He is known for his social media videos and became a staple at UFC events due to his relationship with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s camp.
