Two men from Regina have been charged with second-degree murder in the June death of 19-year-old Jason Martin.
Police released Martin’s name in early September with the hope of advancing an ongoing investigation into what they called the city’s second homicide of 2024.
Martin, also from Regina, died in hospital after he was found injured on the 2300 block of Reynolds Street on June 1, stated a news released issued by the Regina Police Service (RPS) on Friday.

Police and EMS were dispatched around 6:30 a.m. that day for a report of an injured male. EMS then transported Martin to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. His death was the subject of several previous news releases issued by the RPS in early June and an investigation began when Regina’s Major Crimes Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service determined it was a homicide.
In Friday’s release, the RPS announced that 29-year-old Tyler Blue Worme and 23-year-old Talon Lee Worme were arrested on Thursday, Nov. 14 and both charged with second-degree murder.
They made their first appearance on the charges in provincial court on Nov. 15.
