On the road against the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday night, Saskatoon Blades forward Tyler Parr scored the game-winner one minute and 24 seconds into extra period to give the visitors the 4-3 overtime victory.
Following a scoreless first period, Saskatoon’s Rowan Calvert broke the seal with a goal just over four minutes into the second period.
From there, the two teams exchanged goals, with the Tigers always tying after the Blades took the lead, including midway through the third period when Medicine Hat scored to tie the game at three and eventually force overtime.

Saskatoon’s other two goals in the game came from Brandon Lisowsky in the second and Ben Riche in the third.
In net, Evan Gardner made 18 saves on 21 shots, while his Medicine Hat counterpart Jordan Switzer went 27 for 31.
Earlier in the week on Thursday, the Blades visited the Moose Jaw Warriors where they were shutout 4-0.
The Warriors scored once in the first period, twice in the second and then added an empty netter in the third to secure their victory.
Jackson Unger made 32 saves to record the win for Moose Jaw, while Gardner made 29 saves on 32 shots for the Blades.
With the mixed results, Saskatoon’s record is now 15-6-1-1. They have 32 points and sit first in the East Conference, but second in the Western Hockey League overall, trailing the Everett Silvertips who are in first with 38 points and an 18-3-1-1 record.
The Blades will have six days to rest before they begin a four-game home stand, starting Nov. 29 against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
