On Thursday, the league announced that free agency will open on Feb. 11 at 11 a.m., with the free agent negotiation window set for Feb. 2-9, where pending free agents can talk to teams before officially signing.
There are several key players on the Roughriders who are set to hit the open market including quarterback Trevor Harris and linebacker Jameer Thurman.

In the trenches, pending free agents include offensive linemen Peter Godber, Trevon Tate, Philip Blake, Ryan Sceviour and Noah Zerr along with defensive linemen Micah Johnson, Malik Carney, Bryan Cox Jr., Miles Brown, Charbel Dabire, Anthony Lanier II, Christian Albright and Benoit Marion.
Defensively along with Thurman, fellow linebackers Adam Auclair, A.J. Allen, Justin Herdman-Reed and Jordan Herdman-Reed are pending free agents along with defensive backs Marcus Sayles, Deontai Williams, Nelson Lokombo, Amari Henderson, Jayden Dalke, Godfrey Onyeka and Kosi Onyeka.
Receivers Mitch Picton, Mario Alford, Jerreth Sterns and Colton Hunchak are also pending free agents along with running back Frankie Hickson and quarterback Shea Patterson.
Players who ended the season on the practice roster, including running back Thomas Bertrand-Hudon, are already free agents. Defensive lineman Eric Black, defensive back Antoine Brooks Jr., linebacker Zach Philion, punter Joe Couch, offensive linemen Daniel Johnson, Braydon Noll and Nick Jones have re-signed with the team.

Key players under contract for next season include running back A.J. Ouellette, offensive linemen Logan Ferland, Zack Fry, Trevor Reid, Jacob Brammer and Jermarcus Hardrick along with receivers KeeSean Johnson, Shawn Bane Jr., Kian Schaffer-Baker, Samuel Emilus, Ajou Ajou, Dhel Duncan-Busby.
Defensively, all-star halfback Rolan Milligan Jr. and linebacker C.J. Reavis are set to return alongside defensive back DaMarcus Fields, linebacker C.J. Avery and defensive lineman Caleb Sanders.
Saskatchewan’s specialists — kicker Brett Lauther, punter Adam Korsak and long snapper Jorgen Hus — remain under contract.
