Most of the story stages are easy in Anime Genesis, but once you get into infinite mode, raids, and portals, you will want to bring only the best units into the battle. Find out what units are worth rolling for and which ones are worth upgrading with our Anime Genesis tier list below.

Best Units to Roll for in Anime Genesis
The only two Legendary units that you will want to obtain at some point in Anime Genesis are Bulme and BlackHair. Bulme is the only farm unit in the game, so you will absolutely need her on your squad. BlackHair slows down enemies in a massive AoE when fully upgraded and is relatively cheap.
Units in A-tier are good for the story, but I would recommend investing only a bit of your resources into them until you evolve the ones that have an evolution. All S-tier units are excellent for the story while also being very decent picks for raids and infinite modes.
Meta-tier units are the best in the game, either because of the utility they provide or because of their overall damage and AoE. If you could pick only one, I recommend going either for Igres or Aka because they have the highest DPS in the game, but keep in mind that all meta units are worth investing in.
How to Summon Units in Anime Genesis
You can summon new units by going to the Summon area of the main lobby or by clicking the Summon button on the left side of your screen. Every pull on the banner costs 50 gems. You can see the pull rates for every unit by clicking the unit chance button in the top right corner of the summon men.
Because the central mythic unit on a banner has a 50% roll chance and the other two mythic units have a 20% roll chance each, try and roll on banners that have three meta units on them. Also, you unlock shiny and secret units at player level 10, so if you can, save up most of your Gems to pull when you reach level 10.
