The Ancient Archives are a secret area in Fisch which you need to unlock, but there are several steps that you need to complete before that. Here’s exactly how to open Ancient Archives in Fisch and what you need to do it.
Where to find the Ancient Archives in Fisch
For starters, you need to know where the Ancient Archives are in order to unlock them. You can find the Ancient Archives behind the waterfall on the isles.
The easiest way to reach the entrance is from above. Use the ziplines along the island to climb up, then jump down onto the ledge leading right into the cave. You will have to make the jump, but it isn’t a big one, so you should be good.
Once you are behind the waterfall, climb down the rope into a pit, and you will find yourself at the entrance to the Ancient Archives. Now that you know where they are, let’s figure out how to get inside.
All Ancient Archive Fragment locations in Fisch
To unlock Ancient Archives, you have to collect four different Ancient Archive Fragments. One you need to fish, while the other three need to be collected somewhere on the Isles.
As a precaution, if you don’t see the collect or interact button pop up for you when you get close to a Fragment, that means it’s bugged out, and you should switch servers. From experience, you don’t want to waste an Eclipse Totem (which isn’t cheap) when you aren’t going to be able to grab it.
Deep Sea Fragment Location in Fisch
This fragment is located right underneath the waterfall. Make sure to put on your Diving Equipment (preferably advanced if you have it) and go under the water, where you will find the Deep Sea Fragment.
Also, don’t be like me and unequip your gear. Do not notice despite the big letters on your screen telling you what you have done, and then die.
Ancient Fragment Location in Fisch
In order to get the Ancient Fragment, all you need to do is fish, but it isn’t just that simple. To get the Fragment, you should fish in the ocean and have Maggot equipped as your bait to increase your chances.
Solar Fragment Location in Fisch
To get the Solar Fragment in Fisch, you need to climb up. From the Merchant, head to the left and keep climbing until you find yourself on the tallest hill with a single tree. Underneath it, you will see the Solar Fragment, but you can’t pick it up just yet.
This fragment can only be picked up during the Solar Eclipse. This can happen naturally, but it might take a while. Instead, you can purchase the Eclipse Totem, which you will find in the cave right next to the Earth Fragment.
Once you have the Totem, climb back up and activate it if it’s daytime. As soon as you do, run towards the Archives so that you can unlock them and possibly not have to use two Eclipse Totems (we had to use three, so sad).
Earth Fragment Location in Fisch
After you climb up to the Solar Fragment, head down the tree to the left towards the cliff edge. Keep going, but steer towards the right. Try to stay above and look down until you see a wooden fence. That is where you need to jump down.
You will see a cave here, which you should go into, and you’ll get the Earth Fragment along with two more items: the Phoenix Rod and the Eclipse Totem. If you have the money, purchase two Eclipse Totems (250.000 C$ each), one for opening the Archives and one to make your life easier so that you can grab the Solar Totem.
How to unlock Ancient Archives in Fisch
To unlock Ancient Archives in Fisch, first the Eclipse has to be happening at the moment. If you don’t manage to get to the Archives before the event passes, you can use an Eclipse Totem to start it again.
You need four people to open the Archives since each one of you has to stand on a pressure plate, input the Fragment into its corresponding Pillar, and then rotate it. When your pillar is in the correct position, the gate will glow by its color. Once all colors on the gate are glowing, it will open, and you will be able to go into the Archives.
Once there, you will be able to reach the Rod Crafting table (with Rods that unlock as you level up) by using a Mount, as well as fish and complete the Archives Bestiary.
