(Re: Trudeau calls conversation with Trump ‘excellent’ after meeting in Florida.) Most Canadians should have guessed Justin’s tune by now, after nine long years as Canada’s prime minister. His words are both empty and meaningless, holding very little value or credibility to the average Canadian in 2024. Canadians just want Trudeau out of office sooner than later. He has basically overstayed his welcome by over nine years. It’s time to take a bow, you’re finished as Canada’s prime minister.

Get it together, Canada
The United States Postal Service nationally announcing that they are no longer accepting any mail bound for Canada is advertising the ‘Trudeau Dysfunctional Government’ and the incompetence of Canada. I’m sure many Americans are hearing this news and are thinking, “Trump is right,” Canada is absolutely failing to manage their border properly and Canada’s drug problems because Canada can’t even deliver their own mail! They deserve the pain of 25% tariffs, and even higher, until they get act together and stop hurting America!
CHRIS ROBERTSON
(Americans get little news about Canada — but when they do, it’s likely because of the general incompetence of the Trudeau government)

51st state
Do not dismiss Trump’s apparent humour about making Canada the 51st state. When you have a weakling such as Trudeau running to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring, it showed nothing but weakness in the eyes of Trump. Resign and go back to dancing at Taylor Swift concerts.
THOMAS GEDDES
(We can take some solace in the fact Trudeau will likely not be around after the next federal election to even make this a possibility)

Rural woe
I normally agree with almost 100% of Lorne Gunter articles, but one thing he stated is absolutely incorrect! He stated that urban centres (Edmonton, Calgary, etc.) aren’t feeling impacted by Canada Post employees’ walkout. No, they aren’t, people in those centres and surrounding areas can still function. It’s the rural areas and small businesses that are being significantly impacted by this. Rural post offices are drop-off hubs for couriers and delivery services because they won’t deliver to rural addresses and unless you have friends or family in urban centres you have no drop-off! These 55,000 workers who are striking for better pay are not smart enough to see the only thing keeping Canada Post with any income is the small and rural communities that need its services. My mother talked to a lady who runs a local pharmacy, and she stated they have a significant amount of Christmas products sitting god knows where that even if the strike ends in a week they’ve missed their window for sales!
