Windsor and LaSalle police combined efforts to arrest one suspect and seize $7,000 in drugs.

Officers with the Windsor drugs and guns enforcement unit used a search warrant to enter a residence in the 2000 block of Rivard Avenue on Dec. 6 where drug trafficking was suspected.
With help from officers with the emergency services unit, police arrested a 39-year-old male.

Police said they seized 15.6 grams of fentanyl and 1.1 grams of crystal methamphetamine allegedly found on the suspect.
A search of the residence turned up 32.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 36 tablets of hydromorphone, two tablets of MDMA, 25 tablets of clonazepam, 17 tablets of diazepam and 44.1 grams of psilocybin, along with a Glock airsoft handgun, homemade taser, two digital scales and packaging material.
With assistance from LaSalle police, officers executed a search warrant on the suspect’s vehicle and seized seven tablets of clonazepam.
The total value of the drugs seized is estimated to be $7,144.
The man faces six charges of failure to comply with a release order, eight drug possession for the purpose of trafficking charges and three charges of possession of a prohibited device, namely a handmade taser and 18 charges of operation of a conveyance (driving) while prohibited.
