Justin Trudeau finally made the trip to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound in Florida like many others. I guess Trudeau could check off this Mar-a-Lago visit in his bucket list before he is elected out of office. I heard the dinner meal there was excellent and that conversations were positive. Positive! Would you believe anything positive and truthful comes out of Trump’s mouth?

Unhealthy situation
I have always bragged to my American friends about our health care, but, sadly, I can no more. They’re shocked to hear we wait hours in ER, months to see specialists or receive an MRI Friends have travelled to the US to get an urologist-prescribed MRI at their expense fearing the wait time of a year. Trudeau, keep those $250 cheques and invest in our hospitals so they can purchase more MRI machines, reduce our ER waiting time while encouraging the graduation of more doctors Let me brag once again.

Border security
Here’s to the wise person who realizes that people who cross from Canada to the U.S. are allowed in or not by U.S. customs.
If they do not want people coming into their country, the onus is on the U.S. to police that — not Canada. Secure your own borders, Trump.
NANCY ROADNIGHT
(In part Trump’s point is the Biden administration didn’t do that for the last four years. But Canada has a duty to secure our border and to suggest otherwise isn’t accurate)
Strike a date change
I believe the postal strike will do permanent damage to the postal service as we have known it. Besides wages, they want delivery on the weekends by permanent employees. Does this necessitate time and a half? I no longer refer to our super box, in our neighbourhood, as the mailbox. It’s the ‘flyer box.’ For years now, I have thought we should get delivery every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday one week and Tuesday and Thursday the next week. No weekends! If this were a private business, they would figure out how to cut costs and how to increase revenue, not to mention provide a service above all others.

(This strike does not bode well for Canada Post’s future which was already grim. If changes aren’t made to the business model to adapt, then it only accelerates its demise)
