I for one support the clearing out of the protesters. They claim that they are peaceful, that’s fine, but how long before they start harassing students and resorting to violence or taking over the universities as we have seen in the U.S.? They need to learn that their actions have consequences.

Hang onto your anger
Calgary’s current city council is a clear and present danger to the people of Calgary. The so-called “Hateful Eight” serve their own agenda and do not represent the people nor do they hear the concerns and grievances of the electorate.
I have my doubts that this anger will last until October 2025, although I hope it does.

Overstaffed
On Monday, May 13 I was stunned to see at least 13 contract city workers watching a few of their comrades smoothing freshly poured cement on a sidewalk ramp to an alley near my house. The ramp, maybe 20 feet wide, was largely obscured by this large crew of workers. I had to take a picture of this. I don’t know if there was more to the job than what I saw but 13 high salaried Calgary taxpayer funded workers on such a simple job doesn’t look to me like tax dollars well spent.

No surprises here
Is it any surprise that the hateful 8 plus one voted to pass the rezoning amendment? They are just too greedy to turn down the millions of taxpayer dollars. Just like the green line that will cost all property taxpayers, when their free money runs out. Even though 70 percent opposed rezoning, they don’t give a flying you know what about us homeowners. Get rid of these bums next October.
