Slay Ride to Hell is the final 2024 event for Diablo 4, closing out the year with a big community event. It’s all focused around slaying Treasure Goblins. By participating alongside the rest of the Diablo 4 community, you can pick up some excellent loot and some festive cosmetics just for logging in.
In this Diablo 4 guide, we’ll walk you through the Slay Ride to Hell event, including details about how long it lasts, what rewards you can get, and how you can participate (a.k.a., by hunting Treasure Goblins).
Diablo 4 Slay Ride to Hell start date and end time
Diablo 4’s holiday event, Slay Ride to Hell, started on Dec. 17, and will run until Jan. 2 at 10 a.m. PST. The Mother’s Blessing experience buff is also active during the event.
You have until just after the new year begins to take advantage of the XP buff, slay Treasure Goblins, and pick up your festive gifts.
All Slay Ride to Hell rewards in Diablo 4
The entire point of Slay Ride to Hell is killing Treasure Goblins, and every Treasure Goblin killed adds to a community total, which will unlock new rewards at each tier for you to collect in Kyovashad, the capital city of Fractured Peaks.
Here are the Treasure Goblin slaying tiers and their rewards, with those unique to the event listed in bold:
While Slay Ride to Hell is running, there is a little Treasure Goblin statue area in Kyovashad. The event area is just southeast of the jeweler and southwest of the inn. You can interact with the Treasure Goblin statue to pick up any unclaimed rewards from the event.
Where to find Treasure Goblins in Diablo 4
Treasure Goblins can appear (rarely) all over the place in Sanctuary, from dungeons to Helltides and beyond. They’ll appear on your mini-map when you’re near, and attempt to run away from you if you engage them in combat. But if you manage to kill them before they escape, they’ll drop a ton of loot.
Treasure Goblins behave the same way as usual during the Slay Ride to Hell event, with two major differences. First, they seem to be appearing in greater numbers throughout Sanctuary, but especially in Nahantu, which is a nice boon for folks who own the Vessel of Hatred expansion. Second, every Treasure Goblin we’ve seen during the event has summoned a second Treasure Goblin to assist them, allowing you to get two kills per Treasure Goblin found — if you’re fast, that is.
If you’re playing Diablo 4 naturally, you’ll find plenty of Treasure Goblins throughout the event (especially if you’re hanging out in Nahantu). But if you’re specifically looking to hunt down Treasure Goblins to add to the community totals, they’re still random spawns, so your best bet is to get on your mount and roam around Nahantu until that Treasure Goblin icon appears on your map so you can kill it and mount back up to roam again.
