Tom Cruise couldn’t wipe the smile from his face as he made a surprise appearance at a screening of A Complete Unknown – where he reunited with a former co-star.
The 62-year-old was previously romantically linked to Top Gun: Maverick actress Monica Barbaro, amid claims that he wanted to ‘explore a relationship with her’.
Although the speculation has died down in recent months, he posed up a storm alongside the 34-year-old and co at a screening of the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic in London this week.
On Tuesday, he stopped by the Ham Yard hotel to catch a showing, before celebrating the launch with the cast, including Timothee Chalamet and Elle Fanning.
In new pictures, he could be seen grinning widely as he caught up with his former colleague, before they took pictures together.
Tom looked smart in a dark denim shirt and jeans for the occasion, paired with a warm black coat.
Monica also got the memo in a grey pinstripe blazer and matching trousers, coupled with a white top for the occasion.
The pair previously shared the screen together in 2022’s iconic Top Gun: Maverick, a much-needed sequel to the 1986 classic.
Tom reprised his role as Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell for the blockbuster, beside Miles Teller, Glen Powell, Jon Hamm, Val Kilmer and Jennifer Connolly.
Monica, who also starred in Chicago Justice, The Good Cop, FUBAR and Unreal, joined the cast as Natasha ‘Phoenix’ race, a pilot and Top Gun graduate student.
The pair made headlines earlier this year when it was claimed that there was a spark between them – something that neither addressed publicly.
‘Tom thinks she’s stunningly beautiful,’ an insider told In Touch at the time. ‘He’d like to explore a relationship with her.
‘People around Tom believe they’re a great match,’ they suggested. ‘But he genuinely wants her to succeed.’
Monica was said to be ‘flattered’ by the attention, but wanted ‘to prove that she’s deserving of the role’.
Elsewhere, the Mission: Impossible actor was also seen having a catch up with Timothee, who landed the main role of Bob Dylan in the movie.
Tom has championed his pal’s career over the years, and even stepped in with a list of experts he could turn to for stunt training for future roles.
‘After I met Tom Cruise, right after finishing the first Dune, he sent me the most wonderfully inspiring email,’ Timmy told GQ Magazine.
‘He basically said, in Old Hollywood, you would be getting dance training and fight training, and nobody is going to hold you to that standard today. So it’s up to you. The email was really like a war cry.
‘Top Gun was just hugely inspiring to me last summer when we were making Dune. Some of the crew were kind of scoffing at going, but I just thought it was one of the greatest films I’ve ever seen.’
Someone get Timothee and Tom in a movie together, immediately.
