The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday it has selected Ryan Donally as its new president and chief executive officer.
Donally, who is currently the Chief Growth Officer for the Municipality of Lakeshore, will take up his new position in late January 2025. Until then, interim CEO/President Tony Haddad will continue to fill that role.

“The board of directors are pleased with the results of our recruitment for a new president and CEO with Ryan Donally as the successful candidate, bringing a fresh approach to leadership and the value proposition to our members,” said the chamber’s board chair Tal Czudner.
“The Board is grateful to Tony for filling in at a critical time to lead the chamber team and continue the delivery of valued services to our members and the Windsor Essex business community.”
Haddad stepped into the interim position when former CEO/president Rakesh Naidu resigned in mid-October after six years at the helm of the chamber.
Donally has an MBA and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor’s Odette School of Business. He also previously served with Invest WindsorEssex before moving to his current position.
As Lakeshore’s Chief Growth Officer, the Tecumseh native was responsible for leading his team through the municipal development process. The 39-year-old has had experience in economic development, municipal government, academia, the arts and athletics.
Donally first built a profile in the community from his days as a rugged forward for the Windsor Spitfires from 2001 to 2004. He also played in the American and East Coast Hockey Leagues before retiring form hockey in 2010.
He has also served as an assistant coach with the University of Windsor men’s hockey team.
“I am inspired by the opportunity to lead the Chamber as we champion Windsor-Essex businesses regionally, nationally and internationally,” Donally said.
“I look forward to continuing to deliver high-quality benefits and resources to our membership while exploring new and innovative ways to build value and return on investment.”
Donally takes over the chamber as it enters its 150th year as the voice of business in Windsor and Essex County.
