Netflix’s hit series Cobra Kai is gearing up for its grand finale, marking the end of an era for fans of the Karate Kid saga. The series, created by Hayden Schlossberg, Josh Heald, and Jon Hurwitz, will wrap up with Part 3/The Finale Event on February 13, 2025. This concluding chapter consists of five episodes, completing the final season’s three-part rollout.
Netflix teased fans with a poignant reminder: “We’re not good at goodbyes … because Cobra Kai never dies!” While this chapter closes, the creative team hinted at future projects within the beloved karate universe.
In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Schlossberg revealed plans to explore spinoffs, possibly including a Mr. Miyagi prequel. “This is a story that really followed the redemption of Johnny Lawrence,” he shared, emphasizing the untapped potential for new narratives in the Karate Kid universe.
Part 2 of the final season left viewers on edge with a shocking tournament death, setting the stage for Part 3’s climactic battles. The official logline teases, “After a shocking result in the Sekai Taikai, Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai must reckon with their pasts while facing an uncertain future both on and off the mat.”
The sprawling cast, including Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, and Xolo Maridueña, will reprise their roles to bring the series to an emotional and action-packed conclusion. Cobra Kai is produced by Counterbalance Entertainment, Westbrook Studios, and Sony Pictures Television, with Macchio and Zabka also serving as executive producers.
