Dolphins linebacker Jaelan Phillips was left baffled this week after finding an iguana ‘bathing’ in the toilet at his Miami home.
Phillips, who has spent three seasons with the Dolphins after being selected with the 18th overall pick at the 2021 NFL Draft, shared a hilarious video of the reptile in his toilet on X, in which he expresses his confusion at the situation.
‘This is some Florida s**t if I’ve ever seen it,’ the 24-year-old says at the start of the clip.
‘How the hell did he get in there? That man is bathing in my toilet, and he’s not a pet. I don’t know where he came from.’
He then jokes about the size of the iguana: ‘That’s a grown man!’

Phillips went on to tell his followers that he forked out $150 to get an exterminator out to handle the situation.
‘I just want to know if he came up through there like a Ninja Turtle, or if he was living in the garage or something,’ he added.
The video quickly went viral on social media, with ESPN’s First Take panel even discussing it on the latest instalment of their show.
The Miami star shared a photo of Stephen A. Smith, Molly Qerim and Kendrick Perkins laughing about the clip and wrote: ‘Not them talking bout my toilet dragon on ESPN’ along with a laughing emoji.
Since joining the Dolphins in 2021, Phillips has recorded 22 sacks, 24 tackles for loss and three fumble recoveries.
He was enjoying a breakout season in 2023-24 before injury brought his campaign to an abrupt end, with a torn Achilles at the end of November ruling him out for the year.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel recently provided an update on both Phillips and fellow outside linebacker Bradley Chubb, who also suffered a season-ending injury last term.
‘They’re doing great, day by day,’ McDaniel said. ‘Have to keep an eye on both those guys to make sure they’re not doing too much.
‘We’re just being very mindful of who the players are that we’re getting back to full health and really protecting the Miami Dolphins against the individuals themselves, that they’ll do too much too soon.’
