Emphasising the credibility of the manifesto, Amit Shah said, “For the BJP, our ‘sankalp patra’ is a list our to-do list. These are not fake promises.” He further criticised the AAP-led Delhi government for making false promises, saying, “Arvind Kejriwal is running a government in Delhi which does not fulfil its promises and then again he comes forward with a heap of lies and an innocent face. In my political career, I have never seen such a liar. I have no problem with using such harsh words because I am convinced.”

Earlier on January 17, the BJP released the first part of the manifesto at the party’s state office. It promises to give ₹2,500 per month to women if it wins the forthcoming Assembly elections in Delhi.
Speaking at a press conference, BJP President JP Nadda highlighted other promises such as raising the old age pension and providing a ₹500 cylinder subsidy to low-income women in the capital. In addition, the manifesto also called for ₹21,000 for pregnant women, six nutritional packages for women and one gas cylinder annually during Holi and Diwali.
“We made 500 promises in 2014, we delivered 499. In 2019, we made 235, we completed 225. The rest were also on the stage of implementation,” Nadda added.
In the first part of the manifesto, the party also mentioned Ayushman Bharat Yojana implementation in the first cabinet, with extra health coverage of ₹50,000. Additionally, it will also launch the Atal Canteen Yojana to provide meals for ₹5 for people living in slums.
The second part of the manifesto was released by party MP Anurag Thakur on January 21.
If voted to power in the national capital, the saffron party promised to provide ₹15,000 to students preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and other state civil services exams. It also promised free education for the needy from kindergarten (KG) to post-graduation (PG) at government institutes.
