“Investigators consulted with a forensic anthropologist and pathologist, who examined the remains,” the release states. “The individual has not yet been identified.”
The “loved ones” of people reported missing in the area were notified of the finding by police, according to the release, which adds that the investigation is ongoing.
An update will be provided as more information becomes available, the release says.
The RCMP is asking anyone with information to call the Canora detachment at 310-RCMP, or to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
