Several vehicles were shown loaded up to the back of tow trucks and branded with large ‘seized by police’ stickers
Police have issued a stark warning to Birmingham drivers as they tow vehicles from city streets in a new crackdown.
Officers in the Shard End area of the city have been seizing vehicles for having no insurance.
Several cars were slapped with “seized by police” stickers and loaded onto the back of tow trucks.

Officers from the Shard End Neighbourhood Team then took to social media to share photos of the seized vehicles including a Volkswagen Sharan TDI, a Vauxhall Corsa, a Honda Jazz and a Peugeot 107.
Other motorists were also handed tickets for illegal vehicle tints while others were ticketed for driving not in accordance with a licence.
This covers a range of offences, including driving without a licence, driving when not supervised or without L plates if you’re a learner driver, driving a vehicle you don’t have a licence for, driving in conditions that your license doesn’t permit or driving after your licence has been revoked or suspended.
Sharing the photos of the seized cars, Shard End Police wrote: “Shard End Neighbourhood Team has taken part in an operation whereby various vehicle have been seized for no insurance and various tickets have been given out for illegal vehicle tints and driving not in accordance with a licence. #tacklingvehiclecrime #drivesafe.”
