The much-anticipated Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer, “Mr. & Mrs. Mahi,” released in cinemas today, Friday, May 31. The film had already garnered significant attention and praise even before its release, becoming the most-sold Hindi title of the year in terms of advance bookings, according to a report by Pinkvilla. The film’s advance booking success was complemented by the buzz on social media, with numerous users praising the sports drama and deeming it a must-watch. Veteran journalist and film critic Subhash K Jha took to social media platform X to share his review, stating, “Just saw Mr & Mrs Mahi… so so wonderful, so edifying, a rare film that makes you want to be a better version of yourself #mrandmrsmahi.”

Total advance bookings are projected to have reached around 200,000 tickets. Additionally, tickets were offered at a discounted price of ₹99, contributing to the high sales.
Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Sharan Sharma, “Mr. & Mrs. Mahi” marks the first collaboration between Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, whose on-screen chemistry has received a warm reception from audiences. The film is expected to perform well at the box office, reflecting the strong advance booking numbers and positive early reviews.
