LOS ANGELES — Police in Los Angeles arrested a suspect following a break-in on the residence of Mayor Karen Bass on Sunday morning, officers stated.
Bass and her household weren’t harmed when a suspect gained entry to Getty Home, the LA mayor’s official residence on Irving Boulevard.
“Round 6:40 AM this morning a person smashed a window to achieve entry into the Getty Home whereas occupied,” the Los Angeles Police Division stated in a press release on social media, including that police responded and took a suspect into custody with out incident.
“Mayor Bass and her household weren’t injured and are secure. The Mayor is grateful to LAPD for responding and arresting the suspect,” her workplace stated in a press release.
