Apple Inc. could face a fine of tens of billions of dollars for breaching the European Union’s Digital Markets Act for failing to let App Store developers freely tell users about alternate payment options away from Apple’s ecosystem, Engadget reported. The European Commission could fine the firm up to 10% of its global annual revenue if found guilty, and the fines can reach up to 20% of global annual revenue if the violation is repeated.
