Pune, 8th July 2024: Punit Balan Group has taken a new step in social work. It has gifted a Life Insurance policy cover amounting to Rs 8.5 crore for 15 years to 1,100 employees in the Bandhavgarh National Park, which is famous for wildlife tourism.
The Bandhavgarh National Park is located in Umaria district in Madhya Pradesh and is spread over 716 sq km. It was declared a National Park in 1968. It was included in Project Tiger in 1993. Punit Balan Group President Punit Balan, who loves wildlife and nature, gifted 20 leaf blower machines to the National Park earlier, which are used to douse wildfires. The Forest Department employees from various sections risk their lives while working in the park. Therefore, the 1,100 employees have been gifted the life insurance cover by Punit Balan Group. The employees and their families thanked Punit Balan for the help.
Young Entrepreneur Punit Balan announced this in a programme recently. Addl Chief Conservator of Forest Dr BS Annigeri, Chief Conservator of Forest and Area Director LL Uike, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Atul Shrivastava, SDO Sudhi Mishra, Narsi Group’s Narsi D Kularia, Architect Anuj Vakil, DD BTR Prakash Varma, SDO BTR Sudhir Mishra, RO BTR Pushpa Singh and Dr Ramakant Panda were present.
“Wildlife is our real asset. There are several rare birds and wild animals in the Bandhavgarh National Park. More importantly, the highest number of our national animal, Tiger, is found in this park. I tried to extend this small help so that the flora and fauna can be protected in a better way and those who are carrying out this task should also be protected”, said Punit Balan, president, Punit Balan Group.
