If you’ve got a Game Body Advance gathering dust, now might be the time to break it out. And that’s because there’s a whole new game available for it with the release of Bitmap Bureau’s Xeno Crisis! This top-down shooter takes you into deep space and pits you against hordes of alien enemies.
If we had a nickel for every new launch for the Game Boy Advance in the past year, we’d have two nickels. This isn’t a lot but yadda, yadda – Xeno Crisis joins the recently-released Kien as a new addition to the library of the iconic Game Boy Advance.
While not quite as ubiquitous as its predecessor, the Game Boy Advance is still remembered fondly by players across the world. And whether using real hardware or emulation, there’s a surprisingly strong cottage industry of developers creating new software for this iconic system!
I love the Corps!
Xeno Crisis, because we actually need to elucidate what this game is, is a top-down arena shooter where you control a somewhat familiar pair of marines running and gunning their way through a facility overrun by aliens. Hunt down the aliens, rescue survivors and find out just what the hell happened on this outpost.
You can grab Xeno Crisis as a physical release compatible with the GBA, DS and other systems by pre-ordering now on the Bitmap Bureau online store! You can also get it as a ROM compatible with most emulators that support the GBA, and buying the physical release nets you a free ROM too!
