Marine insurer West of England Protection & Indemnity Club has said that paying claims for vessels involved in collisions or accidents with other ships covered by recently sanctioned Russian insurer IPJSC Ingosstrakh will prove difficult, Reuters reported. The U.K. government added Ingosstrakh to its list of Russian entities under sanctions in June. West P&I said that the sanctions may constrain its ability to provide cover for members with regard to any liabilities incurred with another vessel insured by Ingosstrakh.
