- Crunchyroll is bringing another animesque game to mobile with PictoQuest
- This logic puzzler tasks you with creating images on a grid
- Duke it out with RPG enemies, using items to your advantage
Crunchyroll, alongside their recent release Crypt of the Necrodancer, is bringing another animesque game to mobile with PictoQuest. As part of their growing library of games available to subscribers, you’ll be able to jump into this retro RPG-inspired game starting now.
PictoQuest is, put simply, a picture-guessing game. You’re presented with a grid and a set of directions and need to slowly fill out the picture that’s needed to complete a puzzle. But that’s not all, because this retro RPG-inspired puzzler also pits you against hordes of enemies!
So you’d better solve those puzzles quickly because they won’t wait around to let you do so. Fortunately, like any good RPG, you can use items you find or grab from the shop in order to help you out on your quest!

While PictoQuest is not quite as much of a cult classic as Necrodancer, there’s no denying it looks to be a pretty fun logic puzzler for fans of brain-teasers. And it’s also part of that aforementioned growing catalogue, which joins the rest of Crunchyroll’s anime lineup in offering players some Japanese and Japanese-inspired media.
But is it any good? Well, you’ll just have to jump in and give it a go to find out if you’re already subscribed to Crunchyroll!
