AGARTALA: A 44-year-old employee of Tripura royal scion Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma’s tribal TIPRA Motha celebration was dragged out of his automobile in Dhalai district late Wednesday and fatally assaulted, coinciding with the announcement of meeting polls on February 16 and the Election Fee’s warning of zero tolerance in direction of violence.

Whereas Tripura goes to polls on Feb 16, elections in Meghalaya and Nagaland are scheduled for Feb 27. Votes shall be counted on March 2.
